With more than twenty years of experience in cinematography and audiovisual production, Mário Tojo specialises in television, documentaries, institutional communication and public awareness campaigns. Off set, he is known for his endless collection of Portuguese sayings and his passion for cooking — qualities that make him as appreciated around the dinner table as behind the camera.

Graduating in Multimedia and Audiovisual Design, Mário began his career as a camera operator for SIC before working on productions across Portugal, Europe, the United States, Israel, Japan, Russia, Morocco and Tunisia.

His recent broadcast work includes Para Além do Cérebro (RTP1), Arquiteturas da Vinha – Adegas (RTP2), Marcas com História and Marcas com Sustentabilidade (CNN Portugal). His credits also include the Eurovision Song Contest 2018 Postcards, 7 Maravilhas de Portugal, Imagens de Marca, Fabrico Internacional, Atelier d’Arquitetura, Volante TV and Som de Cristal, alongside several productions for Angola’s public broadcaster (TPA).

In recent years, he has increasingly focused on audiovisual communication for public institutions, producing campaigns and films promoting public policies and civic awareness. His work includes projects for the Portuguese Parliament, ICNF and the Faculty of Law of the University of Lisbon.
