In the first episode of the documentary series “Biosphere Reserves Portugal,” we introduce the MaB Program – Man and the Biosphere (in Portuguese, “Homem e Biosfera“). We listen to experts, biologists, geologists, and managers of Portuguese Biosphere Reserves, discussing the program born in 1971 to promote knowledge, practice, and human values in implementing good relations between populations and the environment worldwide.

The uniqueness of Portuguese Biosphere Reserves is also represented by community members who stand out for their resilience.
